Water is Life

According to The World Health Organization (WHO), almost one tenth of global diseases could be prevented by:

Increasing access to safe drinking water;
And Improving water management to reduce risks of water-borne infectious diseases

and annually, safer water could prevent:

1.4 million child deaths from diarrhea;
500, 000 deaths from malaria;
860, 000 child deaths from malnutrition

Ethiopia water facts

A recent study by the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) shows that 271,000 Ethiopian children under the age of five died in 2010 from pneumonia and diarrhea – more than one-third of the total number of those infant fatalities.

More than half of all Ethiopians have no access to a viable source of clean drinking water.
Nine out of every 10 Ethiopian households do not treat their drinking water.

Collaborate with experts in the field

The Life Wells Foundation will try to mobilize and create pools of experts in different fields, drilling and maintaining wells; building solar energy and wind turbines; teaching environment, planning, health, farming, and etc. from around the world to come and help in the countries of interest.

Expert staff will train people who are indigenous and familiar with the culture and language. The experts will bring to the Life Wells Foundation a deeply personal understanding of how best to assist local villages and families.

Meeting diverse needs

Owning a drill rig enables us to respond where the need is greatest, anywhere in the area. In these countries, agriculture is at the mercy of Mother Nature. What you get out of the sky is what predicts what your crops will be. Even though, the primary function of drilling wells is to bring clean water to the village for drinking, cooking and cleaning, wells could be drilled to help farmers grow their crops in the absence of rain or dry season and other tangential activities.
